Nonprofit Groups Gain Additional Option to Raise Dough

LANCASTER, Pa. (Jan. 12, 2011) – Schools, sports teams, and other nonprofit organizations looking to add a twist to their fundraising efforts will find a pretzel roll filled with a blend of melted cheese, pepperoni, and Italian spices in the new Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Pocket. This product addition joins eight dough-based items for sale in the Auntie Anne’s Fundraising program.

The Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Pocket is a frozen product designed to microwave and serve immediately as a meal item. Six individual Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Pockets are offered in one fundraising box and groups are selling it for $18.

Other frozen Auntie Anne’s Fundraising packaged items include soft pretzels packed six per box with salt and cinnamon sugar toppings; gourmet breadsticks with parmesan herb seasoning (12 per box); twisted knots of pretzel dough, cheese, pepperoni and pizza sauce to create eight Pizza Knots; six Pretzel Dogs featuring hot dogs wrapped with pretzel dough; 12 pretzel Stix with eight different vegetables baked into each one; and a Pretzel Dipping Stix Kit with 12 pretzel Stix, crushed M&Ms^® and Oreo^® pieces, along with sprinkles and a cup of caramel dip.

In addition to seven frozen items, two dry mix kits, the Cinnamon Bun Kit and Pretzel Kit utilize a special version of Auntie Anne’s dough for at-home baking. The Cinnamon Bun Kit comes with dry dough mix, sweet icing, cinnamon sugar blend, and baking instructions to create eight cinnamon buns or one monkey bread (cinnamon pull-apart bread). The Pretzel Kit includes step-by-step instructions to make 10 Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels, 15 Pretzel Dogs, or one deep dish pizza.
