Auntie Anne’s Soft Pretzels Hit the Road: Soft Pretzel Icon Introduces Food Truck

Lancaster, Pa. (August 28, 2013) – Auntie Anne’s soft pretzels may soon be rolling into a neighborhood near you. In an attempt to capitalize on the trend that’s swept the nation, the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel franchise introduced a food truck in Fort Wayne, Ind. this summer.
Auntie Anne’s new food trucks offer the same freshly-made, tasty soft pretzel line-up that guests have come to know and love, including Original, Cinnamon Sugar, Pepperoni, Sweet Almond, Garlic, and Honey Whole Grain Pretzels, as well as Auntie Anne’s Old-Fashioned Lemonade and Lemonade Mixers. The bright blue travelers can expect to be seen at fairs, college campuses, stadiums, concerts, festivals, flea markets and near office buildings in and around their designated cities. A hashtag of #IFoundThePretzelTruck is boldly marked on the truck to encourage guests to interact on social media.
Recognizing an opportunity to further expand the brand’s presence in locations outside the shopping mall, Auntie Anne’s can now be found in nontraditional venues including entertainment centers, amusement parks, casinos, stadiums, military bases, colleges and universities, large retailers, and transportation sites such as airports, train stations, and travel plazas. Auntie Anne’s food trucks are the latest addition to this extensive list. As the demand for these on-the-go units grows, Auntie Anne’s expects to introduce more to the organization.
After being in the Auntie Anne’s system for 20 years and owning three locations , franchise partner Kent Byler is pleased with the opportunity to expand his business with a mobile store. “I anticipate the food truck will be welcomed with open arms.” says Byler. He predicts guests will look forward to getting a freshly-made pretzel beyond the mall and while they are out and about.
