New Location at Lloyd Center Holds Free Pretzel Day to Celebrate Grand Opening

Lancaster, PA – Woodburn, Ore. local, Eleazar Puente, had been an Auntie Anne’s store manager for ten years before he was given the opportunity of a lifetime – to receive a franchise of his own. Auntie Anne’s, the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain, was featured in A&E’s original real-life series “Be the Boss,” a competition-based show that pits two employees of a franchised company against each other for the chance to become the owner of their very own franchise. Puente emerged victorious from this experience last year and is now set to open his new location at the Lloyd Center in Portland, Ore. at 2201 Lloyd Center. He plans to commemorate his grand opening by hosting a Free Pretzel Day.

On Friday, Dec. 6, Lloyd Center shoppers are invited to stop by this new Auntie Anne’s location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pick up one free freshly baked Original or Cinnamon Sugar pretzel. Auntie Anne’s will look to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony with President of the Lloyd District Community Association, Brian Griffis, that morning. Additionally, Auntie Anne’s mascot, Twistee, will be in attendance and available for photo opportunities throughout the day.

“We’re so excited to celebrate our grand opening at Lloyd Center,” said Puente. “I never imagined that one day I would be opening my own Auntie Anne’s location in Oregon. Being given the opportunity to do so is certainly a dream come true. We’re very much looking forward to sharing this accomplishment with all of those who have supported us along the way – and turning new guests into pretzel lovers!”
