Select Products Sold by Fundraising and Retail Affected by Voluntary Recall

Lancaster, Pa. (November 16, 2014) – City Line Foods Manufacturing Company has issued a voluntary recall of certain frozen pretzel hot dog products after learning that an undeclared allergen was present in the manufacturing process of the products. The products contain soy lecithin, a known allergen which is not declared on the label. This voluntary recall does not affect Auntie Anne’s pretzel stores found in malls, airports and other venues.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. There is no health risk associated with these products for individuals without an allergy to soy.

The recalled products were distributed in retail stores, food service outlets, and fundraising sales nationwide.

The recall affects the following products:

"The health and safety of our consumers is our number one priority. We are committed to addressing these issues in coordination and under the guidance of the USDA," said William P. Dunn, Jr., President and Chief Operating Officer, Auntie Anne's, Inc.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) identified the undeclared allergen in City Line Foods Manufacturing Company's frozen pretzel hot dog products. As soon as City Line Foods Manufacturing Co. was made aware of the undeclared allergen, the necessary steps for a voluntary recall were taken to address the situation. Soy lecithin is an ingredient in the spray used to prevent sticking during the baking process, similar to a non-stick baking spray used in a home kitchen environment.

Consumers who purchased the products are urged to contact 1-877-778-9588, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. ET or email
